First Visit
Everything you need for class one
Read this once and walk in like a regular. Then book your intro or check pricing.
Before you arrive
What should I wear?
Fitted, movement-ready clothing you can stretch and invert in — leggings or shorts and a close-fitting top. Avoid loose layers that catch on the reformer. Leave jewelry and strong fragrance at home out of respect for other clients.
Do I need grip socks?
Yes — grip socks are required on the reformer for hygiene and safety. Bring your own or pick up a pair at the front desk for $20.
How early should I arrive?
Arrive 15 minutes before your first class so we can set you up on the reformer and review anything you've flagged. Late arrivals may be released for safety once class is underway.
Where do I park?
Metered street parking is available on Santa Monica Blvd; nearby paid lots are within a short walk. We recommend allowing a few minutes extra during peak hours.
At the studio
How do I sign in?
Check in at the front desk on arrival. Your spot and equipment are reserved through our booking system once you've booked a class on the schedule.
What's the studio etiquette?
Phones silenced and away, arrive on time, wipe down equipment after use, and keep the space calm between classes. The studio is a single room of focused work — we keep it that way for everyone.
Can I store my things?
Cubbies are available in the studio for personal items. Bring grip socks and a water bottle; towels are provided. We recommend leaving valuables at home.
The class
I've never done Pilates — is that okay?
Completely. Every class is scaled, and first-timers are given foundations and modifications. If you're brand new, book an intro on the schedule and tell your instructor on arrival.
Which class should I book first?
Start with a Reformer Foundations class or take the 3-class intro pack — $99 across two weeks lets you try the format, meet the teachers, and settle into the equipment before committing to a pack or membership. Your first single class is $35.
Health & modifications
I'm pregnant or postpartum — can I take class?
Often yes, with modifications. We welcome cleared pregnancies (typically through the second trimester) and postpartum clients from six weeks with physician clearance. Please tell us before booking and again on arrival so the instructor can adapt safely.
I have an injury or a medical condition.
Let us know in advance and flag it at check-in. Pilates is frequently used in rehabilitation, but we are not a substitute for medical advice — please get clearance from your healthcare provider for any acute injury or contraindication.
Still have a question?
